My back yard
In my city they have been trying to get a native bird called the Tui back into the city. In our back yard we've got a tree which the Tui's eat the blossom. So I set out to get a few photos of them..... try to anyway, it didn't quite work but here are my attempts

Auckland Adventures
Last semester I live in the big smoke of Auckland for a month for my one month placement. While I was there I went for a few wanders. I really like the old buildings that they have and that most of them are well looked after. I wish they would tidy up some of the ones in Hamilton.

Come outside and pray!
Once a year at my church they set up a 24hour prayer stations. They are so creative and do such an awesome job. This year was based on seasons, seasons of our lives paired up with the season of the year. The room was sectioned into fours with a big tree in the middle.

Would you like to dance?
Last night I watched my awesome mum go for her gold medal in ballroom dancing and new vogue. By day my Mum is a high school teacher, teaching accounting and economics. I think she is a light of hope for all those worrying about ageing, she's 50 something (closer to the something than the 50) and last night she looked amazing.
I am so proud of her, she passed both and both with honours (highest marks you can get). GO MUM!
Unfortunately the photos don't really do her justice as they were taken by me and my amateur skills.

Day Tripper
Finally the weather has turned nice in New Zealand so some friends and I decided to celebrate the sun and take advantage of a day off. So we took two cars and headed to a beach near us. It was a great day out with the girls soaking up the sun, even if it did take us awhile to find each other.

Baking!
I love cooking and baking so in my semester holidays it was time I made my self an apron to wear while I bake/cook/create/make a mess. So this is a few pictures of my new apron and a few baking exploits.

I'm a self confessed Stumbleupon addict and three of these ideas came from there:
Brownie mix that used hot sauce and ice-cream instead of water
Chocolate pots with chocolate-peanut pudding
Really good muffins with great icing
